Skylar came to us from Columbus County after her owner died in January 2020. She was turned into a shelter with her two fur siblings. Her brother, Moonbeam, passed away from complications from heartworms in his foster home the day he was rescue. Skylar was very scared in the shelter but is now settling into her foster home nicely.
Skylar is around 1 years old and is a black and white chihuahua mix. She loves to be carried and is easy to pick up at only 9 lbs.
She loves to sleep in bed with her person and she loves other dogs. She loves car rides and walks on the leash. She doesn't need a lot of exercise; she is happy sitting on your lap. Belly rubs are a favorite pastime of Skylar's and she will let you know she doesn't want you to stop. She used pee pads when she first came to us but she caught on quickly and now does her business outside. We think she probably was an indoor only dog before coming to us.
Skylar HATES the crate and cannot be crated. We aren't sure what happened to her but crating her will not be an option for the most part. She also is not a fan of getting her nails trimmed. She prefers to be with her person a lot and will be happiest sleeping in bed with them. She is a snuggle bug! She will wake her person up in the morning with little kisses!
Skylar is spayed, heartworm negative, has received all vaccines, microchip and has been given a 6 month heartworm preventative shot. (Proheart) She is also current on flea and tick preventative. She comes with leash and collar and all vet records plus a small bag of food she is eating and two free pet sitting services if adopted in the Myrtle beach area. She is being fostered in Murrells Inlet , SC just south of Myrtle Beach.
Her adoption donation is $225.00. Approved application, meet, and home visit
