Ruby is a year old terrier mix who was taken to the shelter out of a bad situation. She was very thin and has been gaining weight since settling into her foster home. She is now around 35 pounds. She's got energy for days and is the perfect partner in crime. She loves car rides, any toys, and can play all day. She's still missing some fur but it's slowly growing back. She's great with other dogs. She is also good with cats but she will chase and bark at them trying to play. She would be fine with children but younger kids wouldn't be ideal because she will jump up when trying to get attention. In fact, Ruby might've been a unicorn in her previous life because she likes to rise up on her to hind legs to reach the clouds! We are working on staying on all 4 paws and she has learned how to “sit” when asked. She is very curious but responds to a verbal no when nearing trash or other obstacles. Ruby is crate trained but she does bark at first because she prefers to be out with her people. She loves attention and doesn't like to be alone. She is about 95% potty trained but we are working to correct the random accident when she doesn’t let us know right. She is a velcro dog and if she could be near her "hooman's" side always she would be living the dream.
Approved application, home visit, and adoption donation of $225 required.
