Let us formerly introduce Swilley!! 

Swilley came to us last month after our director saw Swilley being given away on a free pet page. He was chained up outside and was so skinny. She contacted the "owner" who said she lived in rural South Carolina which was a dumping ground for dogs.  She thought feeding them and trying to give them to "a good home" was helping them.

We went and picked up Swilley, who was covered in fleas and ticks but overall a sweet boy. He went to the vet the next day and we immediately started his heartworm treatment and scheduled his neuter. He was full of parasites as well. 

Swilley has been with us 3 weeks now and he is turning into a new dog. He was so happy to be clean, fed, and to sleep in a nice bed indoors for once in his life. 

Swilley is a friendly 7-8 year old hound, weighing 56 lbs. He loves walking on the leash and is learning to be an inside dog. He is content to be in his crate but he loves to be out getting love from his foster family.  Swilley loves kids and doesn’t seem to mind cats. 

He loves to be outside and would be great in a fenced yard or to be able to sit outside with his family. His temp foster used a tie out and he loved to soak up the sun with her by his side. He loves to sniff the ground and loves everyone he meets. He is easy going around other dogs. He rarely makes a sound unless he needs you for something. (potty break, etc)

Swilley has now been treated for Heartworms. He will only need a second proheart injection in 5 months which also doubles as a preventative. (around $56.00 for his weight). He is neutered and up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. He is current on flea and tick preventative also.

Swilley has a lot of love to give to his forever family. He has had a rough past but we have given him a second chance to find his happily ever after and live out his golden years. 

His adoption donation is $225.00 which covers all vetting, leash, collar, and any of his toys and a small bag of food. Swilley is being fostered in the Myrtle beach.
