Let us introduce sweet Phoebe to PLP! 
Phoebe was seen falling off the back of a truck in a small South Carolina town several weeks ago. The nice people who witnessed the horror followed her and picked her up! Luckily she was not seriously injured! No one came forward looking for this sweet girl so she soon joined us at PLP . 
 She looks to have been used as a breeding dog in her short life but that is no more as she has now been spayed, chipped, vaccinated and treated for heartworms. She has been given a 6 month Proheart as part of her treatment which also serves as a preventative so no monthly pills to give. She will need another proheart 6 months from the first one which costs around $50-60 dollars. She is current on flea and tick preventative also. 
Phoebe is about a year old and appears to be a Staffy mix. She is a stocky, compact little girl with beautiful soft brown fur and gorgeous brown eyes. She is around 50 lbs and loves everyone she meets, including children
She does well with other dogs but prefers to enjoy her meals in her own space. Her former life wasn't good and meal time may or may not have been on a schedule.  She has not met any cats at this time.
She is very sweet and gentle when taking treats. She can get very vocal when waiting for her meals which is very cute. 
Phoebe enjoys walking on the leash but could use a little guidance.  She pulls a little bit so a harness works better than a collar. Leash walking is new to her so she is learning! 
She doesn't like being out in the heat of the day but after living outside who would?! She has become quite accustomed to couch potato life.  She does need a little coaxing to go out to do her business during the hottest part of the day. She is very good with house manners but still learning as she has only been an inside dog for a few weeks.  She has an occasional accident but she will get it.! She is smart ! She really likes the fenced yard to enjoy at her foster home also . 
She is a very loyal and sweet girl.  She absolutely LOVES toys and loves to play and can entertain herself for periods of time. She is still a puppy really! 
Phoebe is crate trained but would prefer to sleep with her humans.
Phoebe will finish her meds at the end of July and will be ready to join her forever family August 1st. She is being fostered in Supply, NC about an hour and 20 minutes from Myrtle beach. 
Her adoption donation is $250.00 and she comes with all vet records, collar, leash, and any of her personal things plus a small bag of food she is eating to mix with whatever she will eat in her new home. 
Completed and approved application, home visit and references required.  
She will be available August 1, 2020
