You may remember our sweet George from last summer. Unfortunately, he was returned after the holidays.
Georgie has been getting the training and exercise he needs in his amazing foster home and will be ready to leave soon.
George had a bite history when we pulled him from the shelter last summer. He has some triggers from what we believe was former abuse. He cannot be picked up and has a few other situations which causes him to be reactive. We have had a trainer work with him and his foster mom has been doing an amazing job of following a good routine. He is also getting the exercise he apparently did not get during the 5 months he was in a home. ( He gained a LOT of weight, sadly)
George is a very sweet boy. He gives kisses, likes to sit on laps, and is fine with the other small dogs in his foster home. He lived with a cat in his first foster home also. He loves to run and play and go to the dog park. He likes to hunt squirrels in the back yard and go for long walks.
George is housebroken and will go in the crate but he does not like the door shut.
George will need an active person who is committed to his needs and who will follow trainer guidelines. He is well behaved in public but he does wear a "do not pet" sleeve on his leash so kids won't run up to him and pet him.
George will need to go to a home without young children.
George is in the Myrtle Beach area.
*George has a bite history. He does growl when he is forced to do something he does not like so please take this into consideration before applying. No small kids please *
Approved application, home visit, and adoption donation of $150 required.
