Bo is a male Staffordshire Terrier mix, approximately 4 years old, who may have been used as a bait dog for a short time. He had lots of scars on his face when we rescued him.  Bo was rescued just hours before his scheduled euthanasia. When we first brought him in the rescue, we literally had to carry his limp, emaciated body inside because he had fully given up on life and humanity.

Since his rescue, he has had a stick removed from his upper mouth, been dewormed from hook worms, treated for his dry skin, neutered, and has had his heartworm treatment.

He has put on weight beautifully and his spirits have definitely lifted. His black coat is becoming very shiny and his once empty eyes are filling with joy.

Bo is house broken, crate trained and knows a few basic commands such as sit and lay down. He hasn't been completely leash trained he is working on it.  He is extremely smart and learned his new skills mentioned in only a few short weeks.  He loves to cuddle and be near his human or furry friends. He is a bit of a goof ball and has a perky prance to his walk when he is feeling jolly.

Bo would probably do best living in a home with another dog. Since he has never had the chance to really be one, he learns from his foster brother, Murphy and longs for his affection. Bo has also done wonderfully with the four cats in his foster home.  Other than the occasional sniff, he doesn't seem too concerned with them being around or sleeping next to him.

Bo is not overly active and though he enjoys being playful with his fur friends, he could lounge around all day. He is also extremely quiet and never barks when someone rings the door bell. Despite that he gets very excited to greet people when they come in.

Unfortunately since Bo had never been in a car before coming to our rescue, he does feel a bit nauseous in the car.   He is always crated him next to an open window, facing forward with a towel to block the rear window to ease his queasy tummy.  Usually dogs get over this after realizing the car is not leading to a scary place.

Currently Bo is trained to sleep through the night in the crate with his bed, pillow and blanket.   However, he would also love to be snuggled up on a bed if you would let him.

Bo deserves the world and, after all he has been through, he truly needs a forever family that he can call his own and truly depend on.  Approved application, home visit, and adoption donation of $250 required

Bo has received heartworm treatment, all vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, neutered, and current on flea and tick preventative plus a 6 month heartworm injection which also serves as a preventative. :) He comes with leash and collar and all medical records.
