Fill out an Adoption Application

Hi, my name is Cash. I was found as a stray in Longs, South Carolina and ended up at the shelter. I had hours to live when the awesome people at Peace, Love and Paws, Inc. saved me. When I first came home with my foster parents I didn’t know how to play with toys or jump up on furniture. I am still a little cautious with new people, but once I decide that you’re my person, I will give you ALL of my kisses. I have become very comfortable at my foster home but I am still very nervous and will tremble when I’m in a new situation. I am heartworm positive so my foster mom and dad aren’t 100% sure of my true energy level because they try their best to keep me calm. I am between 1-2 years old and weighs 59 pounds. I get along with my female foster fur sister and she’s pretty cool. When I’m out for a walk, I tend to pull a bit on the leash so I am working on my leash manners. I am still not sure how I feel about other dogs in public because being out and about still makes me a little nervous right now. I have not met any cats so I don’t know if I like them or not. My foster parents say I haven’t shown any aggression… They can pet me while I play with a toy and I take treats very gently. I have learned how to say sit and I’ve also learned that car rides are fun, not scary. At night I go right into the crate (as long as I’m offered a treat). I will cry for a few minutes and then I settle down. I have had only one accident in the house which is very good considering the medicine I’m on makes me have to pee all the time! I currently sleep all night in my crate but I would be happy to sleep in a bed with you and cuddle even more. I am very alert to what is going on around my house but I don’t bark at people outside or even the dogs across the street.  I am up-to-date on vaccines, preventativeS, and I have been neutered and microchipped.
