.Mimi is a tri-color chihuahua. She weighs about 13 pounds and is around 3-5 years old. She came to rescue with some skin irritation on her back but now her fur is growing and it is white instead of black! Mimi would be good with older children, but she would do best in a less active home with one person or a couple who is home a lot of the time. She loves attention. Mimi is slow to warm up. For example, a stranger is not able to just come up to her. But she is your best friend after you feed her a couple of meals! She loves to sit up high, on the back of the sofa or on a chair. She just learned how to walk on a leash, but is still working on going potty outside. She does pretty well using a pad to go in the house. She is crate-trained and sleeps quietly through the night, about 8 hours. She bursts out in the morning, ready to go! Mimi barks at people outside, but otherwise is a quiet dog. She came to rescue with another dog, but we don’t think she needs to have a dog companion in her new home. She does tolerate other small dogs in her foster home, but they are not great friends. Mimi loves to carry her stuffed toys around in her mouth and stash them in her bed. She is up to date on all vaccines, heartworm and flea preventative, and is spayed.
