Margot has been returned to us through no fault of her own. 
She is a 9 year oldish mixed breed who we originally took in after her owner died. 
Margot has lived with little dogs in her foster homes plus has been around the neighbors three big dogs and an indoor cat. She gets along great with all of them. 
Her previous owner did not take care of her and she was in major need of a spa day upon her arrival at PLP.  She had hair loss due to a flea allergy, long nails and needed her hair fixed up. 
We took her to the vet and did a full exam, vaccines, chip, 6 month heartworm preventative and now she is feeling and looking so much better. 
Margot enjoys being able to sleep in a bed, spend time with humans, and eat delicious food. 
Due to the fact that her upbringing was a little rough, she can sometimes resource guard, sometimes she is  protective of her foster mom and may growl if you approach too quickly. 
Margot LOVES snuggling in between pillows behind your head and spending lots of time exploring outside in the fenced in yard. She does have cataracts in her right eye but that has yet to stop her from doing anything! Margot is a lovely passenger in the car, at the vet and at mealtime. 
She would not mind a home with older children. She has met the neighbor's three year old and is ok with her but she is not a fan of being randomly disrupted. Margot has never bitten anyone that we know of but she may show her teeth if displeased. 
She makes her foster mom laugh all day as she throws herself onto her back for belly rubs. She loves to try to jump up on the bed also- maybe she could learn to use some doggie stairs eventually . 
Margot is making good progress with crate training and house training. She is crated while her foster mom works and goes right out to the yard when she comes home.  She will wake her foster mom up to go outside during the night as well. She will use a pee pad.  Having a routine has really helped Margot flourish into a real dog.
