Let us officially introduce little Daisy Mae to PLP! Daisy Mae found herself in a shelter after being dropped off with a broken leg!
The shelter wrapped her leg up and she didn't seem to be in pain. We sprung her as soon as we could and oh what a sweet baby she is.
We took her to the vet last week and the vet said her leg and hip seemed to have been broken about 3 months ago. It has healed on its own but since it was not set it is a little shorter and she sits on the hip a little differently. Daisy doesn't let that get her down and she is a typically happy, fun, sweet girl who just wants to be loved. She loves to sit in laps and is a quiet girl.
She loves all dogs, male and female of all sizes-very submissive and sweet. She gets along with cats but does like to chase them but will stop with a firm "No".
Daisy walks great on the leash and will do her business outside when walked. She is very quiet, doesn't bark, but she does snore.
Daisy will sit for a treat and knows what "stay", "potty" and 'No" means. She loves attention but isn't a needy dog. She is content to sit on a rug or lay on a bed while you watch tv or sit at a desk. She was good with kids at our recent event but may be better with older ones just because her leg/hip could be tender/sore and wouldn't want them to fall on her, etc. . She does seem to tire easy .
We added some raw food to her diet which may benefit her.
Daisy is 4 months old and 28 lbs. She is utd on vaccines, chipped, spayed, and current on preventatives.
Daisy rides in the car very well. We don't know what happened to her leg but she is a little scared of cars going by. The vet said her leg/hip should be ok.
Daisy is a sweet little gem, calm and super sweet who wants a lap to sit in and someone to take her for walks. She is a total love bug.
Home visit, approved application, and adoption donation of $200 required.
