Meet Mama cat Salem!

Salem and her kittens were found after Hurricane Ian, cold and wet in a rural area. She was so thankful to be rescued and come inside a warm home. 

She has since been spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and vaccinated.  She is current on Revolution.  

Mama Salem did initially test positive for heartworm. Our vet told us that there isn’t a treatment for cats and it could rectify on its own. Happily, that is exactly what happened! At a follow up with our vet in July 2023, Salem was heartworm negative! 

Salem is gentle and quiet; she gets nervous when the dogs in her foster home bark. She is shy when meeting new people. She is active at night and would prefer a quiet home.

Salem is a wonderful mother and always let her babies eat dinner first.  Now that they are all adopted, she is looking for a forever home to call her own.
