Fill out an Adoption Application

  Meet Chewy aka Chi Chi.  She is a 15 lb. 7 1/2  year old years young girl who we believe may be Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. She is tan and black in color and moderately active. Chi Chi can be somewhat of a picky eater (we think she may have been fed table food) but recently her foster dad got some canned food that she loves! 

She is crate trained. Chi Chi did not have any house manners when she first arrived but she is very smart and caught on to going outside quickly. Now she is almost completely house trained. 

We know very little about Chi Chi’s history. The little we do know is her owner gave her up to the shelter to be euthanized. The shelter called us to see if we could save her AND WE DID!!! Her previous owner reported that she did not get along with another dog and small children that were added to the household. We have not observed her around cats or children. 

Chi Chi is a healthy pup that likes to play, go on car rides, and enjoys a good game of  tug of war. She recently went to the groomer and got along fine with the other dogs in the shop. She has  been a little timid towards strangers but warms up to them fairly quickly. Her foster dad reports that Chi Chi has settled in nicely in the month that he has had her. She is a sweet little girl. They watch TV together and she helps him run errands.  

Chi Chi would make a great little companion for an adult only household. A yard for her to run and play in would be be a bonus. She also walks well on a leash. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives.  Home visit, approved application, and adoption donation of $200 required.
