Fill out an Adoption Application

Yogi was visiting Myrtle Beach when his mom suddenly passed away.  Unfortunately, family members were unable to keep him, so we were asked to help, and we happily took him in. 

Yogi is an easygoing guy who is estimated to be 7-8 years old and weights fourteen pounds. This little guy is perfectly content to be a couch potato, soaking up all the love and affection he can get. He is quiet, and easy to have around the house. Yogi appears to be a Pomeranian mix. 

Yogi is house trained, does well on leash, and goes in the crate without a problem.  When he had visited the vet awhile back, the vet recommended his teeth be looked at which we did and would have scheduled a dental if needed but our vet said they were in good shape. He was given a full exam, fecal test, and received a six-month Pro heart injection for heartworm prevention.  He is current on flea and tick preventative and utd on vaccines and was recently microchipped. Yogi is neutered and heartworm negative. 

While Yogi would be fine to be the center of attention as the only dog in the household, and no children, his loyalty knows no bounds. He is a devoted guardian who takes his role of protecting his person seriously, showing his affection through gentle cuddles and watchful eyes. He is good with other small dogs and even cats. He has stayed at several homes after his mom passed away and was fine with all of the animals in each home. 

Although Yogi may show slight nervousness in new environments or around unfamiliar faces, he quickly warms up with a cautious yet friendly demeanor. While he may not be a fan of large breeds, he's more than happy to mingle with his smaller counterparts. 

Yogi seems somewhat indifferent to toys, but we recently found out that he loves to chase bugs!

Yogi was eating kibble when we got him, and we added some blue buffalo and fresh pet to his diet.  

This well-behaved pup is good in the car, loves accompanying his person on trips to dog-friendly stores, and is an all-around good boy wherever he goes.

Yogi can slip thru a regular fence so will need to wear a bumper or be leashed, even on some porches. :)
