Mia came to us when her owner was diagnosed with an illness, and she needed to move long distance to be with family.
Mia is such a happy, fun little girl. She is 9 months old and all puppy! She loves to play, run, go for walks, and CHEW. She will need healthy chews regularly while she is a puppy unless you want your shoes or remote to be chewed.
Mia would love a little playmate, but it is not necessary. She is living with a bigger dog and a cat in her foster home. She does want to chase/play with the cat who is dog friendly so something to be aware of. This cat is not entertaining her. :)
Mia is great on the leash and loves to walk. She does like to stop and sniff so we hope that someone will let her stop and smell the flowers. :) She is TINY and can fit thru a fence so that is also something to consider.
Mia is a PUPPY, so she will need some exercise, stimulation and training. If left too long she will have accidents, but our foster is working on crate training since she was not crate trained before coming to us. Her former owner said she used pee pads when she was gone, and Mia always does her business when going for walks. :) Since she is a tiny pup, we do not want her to go to a home where someone is gone long hours.
Mia loves sleeping with her people, but she is tiny so may not work with every person. She is a good eater and eats twice a day. She will get distracted if her person doesn't stay with her while eating and forget to eat.
Mia is a barker so probably not good for an apartment. She also barks when she wants to play with the other animals. She will bark if looking outside the window also.
Mia is a high energy puppy, but she is small so isn't hard to handle. She LOVES to be carried in her sling that came with her, and we will send that along with her new family. She also has an entire wardrobe!
We do not know Mia's actual breed(s) but she seems to be a mix of several small terriers.
She didn't have any vetting when she came to us so we have updated all vaccines, did a 4d snap test (all negative), had her spayed, chipped, and she was given a 6-month heartworm preventative vaccine. (proheart).
Mia is located in Myrtle Beach, SC- Approved application, references, home visit and adoption donation of $300 required.
Mia comes with all vet records, chip info, her sling, some clothes, and a small bag of food.
