Lilly

Congratulations  to Lilly who has found her forever home!
Lilly came to us several weeks ago as an owner surrender.
We had actually spayed Lilly a few years ago thru our spay and neuter program when she was about a year old. Even though it was hard to give her up, her mom knew she was in good hands with us.
We updated her vetting, she had a dental, and she was ready for her new home! Miss Kendra and her hubby had applied for another small dog who was already in the process of being adopted so miss Lilly showed up at the perfect time!
Congrats Lilly and new family!
Thank you Tammy for fostering this precious girl!
Have a wonderful life together Lilly, Kendra, and family! 🐾
Adopt, don’t shop!

Lil Lucy

At the beginning of the year, I saw a little senior posted on a free page. Her owner stated she needed a new home or they were going to have her euthanized.  They said she didn't like the 3 triplet toddlers in the home and had nipped at the children.  I asked if we could have her and a volunteer drove to Greenville, Sc to pick lil Lucy up. (thank you Whitney!)
Lil Lucy was a total little gem from day one. While updating her vetting we discovered her teeth were not in good shape. They HURT! We soon scheduled a dental and our sweet girl had SEVEN extractions! Can you imagine the pain she was in? No wonder she was grumpy!
Lucy's foster mom, Jenni fell in love with the little angel and today Lucy found her forever home at the young age of 12!
Lucy will live out her golden years in peace and be pain free.
Thank you Jenni for fostering AND adopting! Have a great rest of your life Lil Lucy!!!

Levi

Congrats to Levi who has found his forever home!
Levi came to us last month when we were picking up two dogs at a North Carolina kill shelter. We were told they were about to euthanize him because he wasn’t adopted in the 30 day period. :((
Levi is absolutely perfect! We updated his vetting, neutered him and he was ready for his forever family! It didn’t take long for the perfect family to see this sweet boy and today he joined them! Congrats Harrell family
and Levi! Have a wonderful life and thank you for adopting and not shopping!
Many thanks as well to Sally for fostering this gentle soul.

Lani

At the end of August we had an adoption event where this young gentleman was approved to adopt Amber, our hound mix puppy. The foster family decided they were in charge of the rescue and behind our backs told him he was no longer approved and decided they weren't going to leave Amber with him and would keep her for themselves.(yes grrr) She suddenly "disappeared" and we have tried to get her back but they refuse to cooperate.
He waited and waited for Amber but finally when seeing little Lani he decided she would make a perfect addition to his family.
So yesterday sweet little Lani joined her new dad! She has lots of friends and family to keep her company and we are excited to finally make his dream come true.
Congratulations Malik and Lani! Sorry to keep you waiting but hopefully this beautiful girl will make your life complete.
We are so happy for her as she was the product of a backyard breeder who was giving her away for free after selling her siblings as "Pitbulls". Her dna says she is a Staffordshire terrier mixed with Bearnese Mountain dog so she couldn't be a sweeter mix!
Thank you Meagan and Carol for fostering and transporting!
Happy Life Lani and Malik! Merry Christmas.

Lucky

Handsome Lucky hasn’t had much luck in his life ... until now.
You see, sadly, Lucky had an owner for most of his life who didn’t let him live inside, didn’t take him to the vet and didn’t think he deserved good food.
When she dumped him at a high kill shelter earlier this spring in North Carolina they told her he would not go to the adoption floor. He was 10 years old, unaltered and heartworm positive. Her response was, “he’s old; might as well euthanize him”.
Luckily some nice people shared him; (along with his brother Jack) we saw them, found fosters, and they soon made the long journey to Plp. The first foster wanted him gone in hours; the second foster home he escaped and was missing for two weeks, then he escaped again the day he was returned.  We spent countless stressful hours searching for Lucky and was so relieved when he turned up at the county shelter.
Luckily we had a tag on him the second time. (He had just arrived the first time and hadn’t even been to the vet.)
We took Lucky to adoption events and we overheard people saying, “ he’s cute, but too old.” Poor Lucky couldn’t get a break!
A few weeks ago someone messaged the page asking about him stating he looked like her late dog... we certainly didn’t get our hopes up after 6 months of Lucky being with us but it turned out to be a match made in heaven!!
Lucky and his new mom Susan are now two peas in a pod and love each other so much! It’s the perfect home for our sweet fella!
It might take awhile but we believe every dog has a home out there; we just have to find it.
Congrats Susan and Lucky! Our hearts are so full! Our boy finally “got Lucky!” ðThank you Renee, Danielle, Faith,  Joan, Sandy, Rikke and Jan for being his angels during his path to his forever HOME! We also thank everyone who shared and donated to his care. It takes a village.
I visited Lucky today and he is one happy boy! -  this is why rescue matters!! Thank you all!-Angela
