Congrats to Mikey who has finally found his forever family!
Mikey came to Plp back in mid May with his three siblings. A Good Samaritan in a rural area had contacted me asking for help and was desperate to find them a safe haven. Their mom was a neighbors dog who had been abandoned and people took turns feeding her. ( mom was spayed and adopted soon after we took in these pups!) 
All of Mikey’s siblings were adopted in July and august and he waited patiently. 
He finally found the happily ever after he so deserved this week and we are over the moon!

Congrats to our little Blossom who has found her forever family!
Blossom came to us at the beginning of September. She had found herself at the county shelter after her owner had been housed nearby for a short time. When the owner was released he/she did not pick up Blossom or her doggy friend, Tia. (Who is still looking for a family) 
Both girls needed some serious vet care but we soon got them the care they needed and they started feeling much better very soon.  
Paul recently lost his wife and then his dog, Hoppie.   He came to see Blossom in her foster home and immediately filled out the application. 
Blossom now is the queen of the house and has a huge yard to run and play in. 
Congrats Blossom and Paul! May you have a wonderful life together!

Happy Gotcha Day to our sweet old man, Gerald. 
Gerald has been with us since April after he found himself at St Francis Animal Shelter in Georgetown. 
He had some health issues we had to address which took a little longer than normal. He was coughing from the Heartworms so we ended up doing fast kill last month. He was finally ready to find a home and his new mom had just started looking for a new companion after losing a beloved pet not long ago. 
Gerald and his new mommy  instantly connected and she said he had a great first night and sent us a photo of him sunbathing at the front door. 
We love senior adoptions!

Happy Gotcha Day Jasmine!
Jasmine found herself at the county shelter after her family decided to move and not take her .. 
It was actually a blessing for her as she had multiple health issues that needed attention. (Uti, hair loss, sore hips, etc) 
Jasmine was grumpy and didn’t want to be bothered at first …. But after a vet visit, some antibiotics , good nutrition and some love she turned into the happy dog she was meant to be. 
Thank you Kim for being her foster mom! You rock .

Five months ago, we pulled a handsome bully named Joker from the county shelter when his time was up. 
We knew immediately that Joker had been someone's pet at some point. He was housebroken, knew basic commands, and was good with cats and dogs. He didn't even have to be crated when his foster family left the house. His foster mom said he was the best foster dog she had ever had! (And she has fostered a lot of dogs) 
We received several applications for our gentle boy, but nothing ever panned out.  We were bummed that he always seemed to be overlooked by potential adopters. 
Last week Joker's luck finally changed, and he found his new home. yay! 
Joker waltzed in to meet his new mama smiling and his tail wagging as if he knew it was his new home.  
Lisa, his new mom had lost her senior dog last year and was searching for an older dog to give a home to. Joker was the perfect match! 
Thank you so much Kandis for fostering this angel and thank you Lisa for adopting an older bully. The world needs more people like the both of you!
