Tulip

Back in June we saw a Bluetick hound on the county shelter "rescue list". She was heartworm positive and not spayed so she was not adoptable to the public.
One of our regular fosters recently fell in love with these gorgeous hounds and offered to foster her. Thank you Tara!! We named her Tulip because she was such a pretty, sweet girl.
Tulip had never lived inside before so she was a bit of a challenge at first.  We had one approved app for her but they turned her down because she was not 100% housebroken at the time.
Fortunately, Tulip's luck was about to change.
This weekend Tulip joined her new mom, Wanda and they are getting to know each other while Tulip is teaching Wanda how much she loves food. lol Wanda is an experienced dog owner who knows the ups and down of adopting a new dog and will give Tulip all the time in the world to adjust to her new life. Tulip now has a big fenced yard and lots of time to to spend with her mom, who is retiring soon.
"The droopy eared charm of a Bluetick is irresistible. They crave affection and are deeply devoted to those who provide it. They are Smart, Devoted, and Tenacious."
Congrats Miss Tulip and Ms Wanda! We are so happy and grateful that you chose each other! We can't wait to see you live happily ever after and have lots of adventures together!
Thank you Tara for fostering Tulip and, as always, for being such a valuable part of PLP!
Happy life Tulip!
