Happy gotcha day to Butters!! 
Butters found herself at a rural shelter with a hurricane approaching at the beginning of August. She was scared and we knew we needed to spring her. 
Butters was extremely overweight, and we were not sure why, so we gave her a few months in her foster home to see if she could shed a few lbs before being spayed. 
Our vet suspected Cushings so her weight loss has been slow ... but steady! 
Her amazing foster mom fell in love with Butters immediately, and this week she joined her foster home permanently! 
Welcome home Butters and thank you Oakland for fostering and adopting!

p.s. Miss Butters has lost 2.5 lbs!
