Last summer we saved a dog from the county shelter named Charlene. Charlene's time was up and she would be euthanized without a rescue. A former foster. Lisa messaged and said she would foster Charlene if we took her into PLP, so of course, we said yes. We got Charlene to the vet as she wasn't in very good shape. She had had litter after litter of puppies, half her ear was missing, and she had a fractured hip! poor girl! 
Charlene had been dog tested at the shelter and passed but after some time in her foster home she became jealous of the other animals and seemed to want to be the one and only pet. 
We had several approved apps for Charlene, but something always came up and it didn't work out. They ended up adopting elsewhere or changed their minds after a few days. 
Since we weren't having any luck with finding a local family, she was posted in the North Carolina foster and adopt group where she had a lot of interest! One fell thru but one seemed perfect: A family who lived in North Carolina with three kids and no other pets. The application was approved and i believe the stars aligned perfectly. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Last weekend Charlene and her foster mom hit the road and traveled three hours to meet her new family. They were already in love with her! 
Charlene now gets to be the one and only like she prefers. From death row to a loving family. 
I always say, there is a home for every dog, we just have to find it!

Charlene had a rough life before coming to PLP, but now has her happily ever after! /we are so happy!
