Happy New Year and Happy New Life to Apollo, now Scrappy Doo who has found his forever home!
Apollo came to us three weeks ago from a high kill shelter in North Carolina. 
We boarded Apollo at the vet for a week so he could get "the works" and help dogs from the "list" buy some time. He then made his way to a foster home here. 
A couple was visiting family here at the beach over the holidays and saw Apollo on Facebook and fell in love with him. They had lost their dog, Clydesdale in 2024 and missed having a dog in their home.
The couple waited patiently while we processed their application and made sure Apollo would have the best home all the way in Des Moines, Iowa! 
He travels well so we didn't have to worry about the long car ride and his mom bought him an air tag for the trip. 
Apollo and his family, Angela and Jeremy arrived home tonight. He went from the beach to snow and already loves it!
I truly believe our late dogs send us new dogs to help mend our broken hearts. Clydesdale sent Apollo at just the right place and right time.
