Congratulations to Petie the Sweetie for finding his forever home! 
Petie joined us a few months ago after he had been brought into the county shelter after his owner was charged with animal cruelty. 
We wanted to save Petie in memory of our sweet Penelope, who lived with Petie for eight years. She had passed away while living on the streets. 
Petie was moved around several times after joining us but finally found a place to land, settle in, and decompress. 
Petie has now found his dream family as his mom works from home, and he gets to be the Kiing of the castle getting all the attention and love around the clock. 
This is a true story of rags to riches from the life he was forced to endure over the course of a year, living in boxes, tents and tied up, scared and alone in strange places. 
We can't thank everyone involved enough for making Petie's dream come true! We are over the moon happy for this deserving senior.
