Let us introduce you to Miss Tilly! Aka T T, Tilly Girl, Till

Tilly was picked up from Horry County Animal Shelter after being found wandering around Conway. On August 18th she broke out of that joint with hopes of never looking back! She carries with her scar from a collar around her neck and multiple missing teeth. We believe she has lived most, if not all, of her 2 1/2-3 years chained outside trying to escape the holds of the chain by chewing herself free or eating rocks around her.  She is about 45 pounds currently but working on putting a few more pounds on with some puppy food added to her diet.

Tilly has spent time living in her foster home with large dogs and a small dog and cat! Oh and two smaller humans (6 & 9), who can forget them! She does well with all of them., as well as with strangers in small doses. We have noticed she is more friendly with female humans than male humans. But after she builds trust, she doesn’t judge. Men just take a little longer. She is very docile but still will hold her own if needed against the oh so overly playful large dog. She prefers to lay around close to humans but does well in her crate when no one is home or during the night time. ***NO ACCIDENTS EVER IN CRATE!!

Tilly is very food driven and has learned how to sit and come when called (for the most part). Enjoys car rides! She still needs helping walking on a leash but we have no doubt this is something she will learn in the days ahead (she was HW+). She loves being outside in A FENCED YARD to wander around. She hasn’t shared with us what type of mission she is on, but it sure looks like she is on one! She has recently built up the confidence to bark when she feels like something is not to her standards. (If she wants something she’s not scared to say it).

-She will need continued exercise to rebuild the muscle loss in her hind legs (assumed from being tied up). She is up to date on all her vaccines/flea prevention and is now spayed. She currently is taking daily supplements for her stinky skin (which is greatly improved!) and also ones for aiding in her muscle growth.
-She is making great progress in house training. A reminder again, if she lived outside, like we think she did, she is only just learning what it’s like to be inside and she knows not yet the difference.

SHE’S ALL IN FOR THE LOVE AND TREATS! If you’re looking for a low energy cuddle bug this is the girl!

Home visit, approved application, and adoption donation of $200 required.
