What makes us happier than someone adopting one of our once homeless, unwanted shelter dogs? Well, adopting a second one of course!!
A few months ago, our sweet senior Ducky was adopted, who is now Leo. His mama, saw our sweet shepherd Tilly and inquired about them possibly being a good match. ðð»
Tilly was on last call at the county shelter when we pulled her. She had an injured neck from a collar, missing and worn down teeth and full of parasites and heartworms. Her skin was stinky and flaky and she was underweight. She was somewhat afraid of men and we assumed she was abused and chained up before making her way to the county shelter. Her muscles were even atrophied from lack of use.
Tilly spent a few months in foster care while we worked on getting her healthy, heartworms treated, spayed and given lots of skin supplements and good food.
Today was her lucky day as she joined our Leo in her new home and we couldn't be happier!!
She even had a welcome sign on the door and doggy cupcakes waiting for her. Leo and her hit it off like they have been best friends forever. How sweet is that?
Thank you Donna for adopting a second pup who only needed a second chance. We are so grateful for people like you.
Many thanks to Maria and her family for all the love and care that sweet Tilly received during her adjusting to living indoors and the many vet visits.
Tilly we are over the moon for you!
This is why we do what we do!
Adopt; don't shop!
