Tigress, Tigress! Let us officially introduce this beautiful girl! She was named Tiger at the shelter, but staff lovingly changed it to Tigress!
Tigress is a young female pup, not even a year old, and a recent PLP rescue from a rural North Carolina kill shelter.  After spending two months there she was euth listed and we were asked to help.
We do not know actual breeds, but she appears to be a Plott Hound/mix with a Brindle coat, white socks and white chest weighing just 35 lbs.
Tigress is an active pup burning off her morning energy by lapping the big, fenced yard in her foster home (highly recommended for adopter), but just as quick to claim a spot on the couch or a sunny spot in the lawn for a much-needed nap.
A favorite stuffed toy, a chew, or a Kong is always near at hand as she loves her toys. She is a quick learner with no accidents with house training. Tigress is an early riser letting you know when she needs to go out and does her business right away.
She is crate trained and with a treat incentive will willingly go in. Tigress can be vocal at first when placed in her crate, but quiets soon after regardless of a short or lengthy stay.
She will easily go in the crate, especially at night as she is more than ready for bedtime after a full day of fresh air, exercise, and fun. We are sure she would be more than happy to snuggle with her person though.
Tigress is good at walking with a harness and leash and being part of a pack on her outings. She is a playful, social butterfly and loves her two foster dog companions. She has had no direct contact with cats but has definitely given her vocal opinion when she has spotted one outside her yard. She did pass the cat test at the shelter but may be different once she comes into her own.
Tigress is healthy and up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed and current on all preventatives. She is comfortable riding harnessed and/or in a kennel in the car. She can be a bit shy at first meeting new people but is always up to a friendly head scratch or belly rub.
Tigress seems to be more curious than fearful of loud noises like fans, vacuum cleaner, or even a leaf blower.
She is a quick learner, has a loving disposition and a drive to please.
A fenced yard is recommended. She would do great with a playmate or alone with an active owner/family. Remember, she isn’t a year old yet so still a puppy and needs plenty of exercise and stimulation.

Tigress is located in the Myrtle Beach, SC area.

Home visit, approved application, and adoption donation of $250.
