Gizmo 2 aka Gizzy

Happy Gotcha Day to little Gizzy aka Gizmo!
Little Gizmo was turned into St Francis animal shelter several months ago by the only owner he had ever known.
He was very scared and was not happy at all about his living conditions and he made sure to let everyone know it. He was snippy and growly and couldn’t stay there. We found a foster and scooped him up. (Thank you Janice!)
This older fella was overlooked for awhile. He must have been holding out for the perfect family which he found last week!
Thank you new family for taking a chance with this little guy!
Have a great life Gizmo!

Sky

We were recently asked to take a deaf, young Dachshund after she had been given away to the first taker near Charleston. Luckily, that person knew to contact us and we had Sky transported to one of our former dachshund fosters.
Sky fit right in with the weinerville clan and as soon as she finished her vetting she joined the family permanently.
Thank you Scott family for fostering again and adopting!
Have a great life Sky! We were blessed to be part of your journey!

Sir Winston

At the beginning of March, we were contacted by our county shelter about a stray dachshund that had come in who was in pretty bad shape. Poor fella, had severe double ear infections, skin infections, fleas, parasites, and really bad teeth. We scooped him up after his stray hold was up and started him on the road to recovery.
Four months later, Sir Winston was finally turning into the handsome devil we knew he was. He had resistant staph infections in both ears that could only be treated with one of two compound drugs. He had many teeth removed, and his skin finally turned from elephant skin to beautiful red fur. His medical bills alone were close to $2k but he was worth every penny. Winston never complained during his treatment, and we all fell in love with the little guy.
When it was time for Sir Winston to find his forever family, his foster family decided to add him to their home permanently.
Congrats to Winston and family. This is why rescue matters!
Thank you Debby for fostering and adopting.

Kate (Spade)

Happy Gotcha Day Kate!
Little Kate was born a few hours from Myrtle Beach. Her mom was a stray dog some people were feeding out in a rural area after she had been abandoned by her owner. We were called on for help and we stepped in right away.
Kate joined former plp alumni Max aka Boomer to make this family complete!
They are already best buddies and we could not have asked for a better family! Thanks Hardwick family for adopting this precious girl!
Have a great life Kate! We love you!
Thank you Michelle and Tara for caring for her!

Mia

Happy Gotcha Day again for sweet Mia!
This little lady has had quite the adventure! She was found as a stray and ended up at the county shelter. She couldn’t be placed in the adoption center because she was so scared she wanted to bite everyone. We pulled her and her her foster family wanted her gone in the first day. She went to the second foster home, was adopted and then returned several months later.
Mia has come so far! She and her new mom are two peas in a pod and spend their days together taking lots of walks and visiting the neighbors.
It just took her a little while to find her place in the world!
Have a great life Mia and thanks to everyone who had a part in Mia’s journey!
