Last month we took in a little beagle girl who was turned into a North Carolina shelter with 14 other dogs. Her owner had gone into the hospital and all the dogs were surrendered. They were filthy and had all been living outside. ð¥²
We named this tiny lady Hazel, who was not too friendly with us at first. She was scared and everything was unfamiliar to her.
Luckily it didn't take long for Hazel to learn to trust her foster mama and she learned the joys of car rides and going for walks. We got her all fixed up at the vet and treated her ear and skin infections and Hazel soon became a happy, healthy girl.
We were surprised we didn't have more interest in her but think she must have been holding out for THIS.
Hazel joined her new family this weekend and now she lives Ocean front! Her mom walks on the beach every day and Hazel will be the one and only dog (her preference). She does have a 35 year old African bird to share her home with but didn't seem to mind.
Thank you Jan and Drew for adopting and not shopping! We hope Hazel brings you lots of joy.
Thank you Tara for fostering this little angel who needed our help.
Have a wonderful new life Hazel!!
