Eli

Congrats to Eli for finding his happily ever after! (Finally) 👏👏
Eli came to us after he was found during a Hurricane, wet, cold and covered in fleas with an obvious eye injury that had been left untreated. He was taken to the shelter and his "owners" never came for him. (lucky for Eli)
We sprung the little hot mess after his stray hold was up and got him all fixed up. He ended up having four surgeries in one day and his bad eye removed. He became a little protective of his foster mom and maybe had a time without his eye. He could be snippy and could bite if snuck up on or in his space.
He was adopted but returned after only a few days. We knew it would take longer for him to settle into a new home and made all potential adopters aware.
Eli went to a new home a few weeks ago and we now know he is HOME for good! His new parents have given him all the patience, space and time he needs to feel safe.
Congrats Eli and new family!! You are angels!
Thank you Renee for being such a patient foster mama!!
Have a great life little snapdragon!
Don't come back now, you hear? lol

Elvis

Ladies and Gentleman, please give a big round of applause, as ELVIS has left the building!
Little Elvis came into a rural shelter in North Carolina in August, scared and heartworm positive. We sent someone for him right away and just like the icon, our little guy was HARD to Handle.
He was always getting into trouble, busting out of the crate, digging under the gate, and chewing up whatever he could find.
His foster family was quite frustrated with his behavior as most of us who have fostered before know, it can definitely be a challenge!
But underneath this little wild man was a sweet, loyal little guy who really just wanted someone he could trust and love forever. He longed for attention and liked to "grab" your hand or leg as if to say, "Please, don't go, i need you"
Elvis went to a different foster home temporarily where he was still a little pain in the ass lol but again, how can you not love that face?!
It didn't take long before the right people saw his pictures online and applied. This couple had lost their 16 year old dog in July and was ready to add to their family.
We know that this little heartthrob will keep them dancing on their toes but they will love him tender because he ain't nothing but a hound dog with lots of love to give.
Thanks Kimberly for all your help with the little troublemaker, i mean angel.
Happy Life Elvis, Brenda and Mike!!
Thank you for adopting and not shopping!!
Be Good Elvis! Don't come back now. :)

Eddie

Happy Gotcha Day Eddie!
When Eddie was ready to be adopted, his foster mom decided she didn’t want him to leave!
Eddie is now Lux and will never be scared, sick or abandoned again.
This little guy was found as a tiny stray and was thought to be a girl so was named Elsa. ;)
Elsa, Eddie, Lux; we don’t think he cares what he is called as long as he is HOME!
Thanks for fostering and adopting Monica! Have a great life together.

Earnest

Today is a very special day; a day filled with happy tears, hope, accomplishment, love, and gratitude. Our sweet, handsome, quiet Earnest is HOME.
We never know what a dog has been thru when we get them from a shelter; however, we do know when life has not been good to them. We know when they are broken, we know when they are sick. We give them love, the best vet care, good nutrition, expensive treats, and a comfy bed. Things a dog like our Earnest never had before coming to us.
Earnest joined PLP last July 29th. He had been at the Columbus co shelter for two months. He was overlooked, sick, broken and just THERE.  Prior to that, he had been dumped at a lumber yard, had abscesses on his face, was hearworm positive, and had been dealt a crappy life. We did what we could to change that.
Thanks to his awesome foster Mom, Debi, Earnest learned slowly that people aren't all bad and life can be fun. We treated his heartworms, neutered him, and he soon fell into a routine of th good life.
Earnest slowly transformed from a sick, broken, unhealthy boy to a sleek, beautiful, healthy guy with a personality!
Today we celebrate TEAM Earnest because this is his new life. A beautiful family, a new sister (who matches him) and a different boy than we knew not so long ago. Our hearts are so happy and filled with gratitude.. This is why we do what we do! This is the perfect family for Earnest!!  (We did receive several other applications for Earnest but they just weren’t the perfect fit and that’s what we strive to accomplish.)
Congrats to the Nissen family, their Moo and EARNEST!!
Have a wonderful life and please keep us updated!
We LOVE you Earnest! Thank you Debi for fostering, and Candice with the Unforgotten Souls for fighting for dogs like Earnest and helping him along his journey!
Adopt; don't shop!!

Edward

Happy gotcha day Edward!
When Casey saw sweet little Edward on a pet adoption site, she knew he was the ONE. She made the trip from Greenville today with her boyfriend and roommate and it was love at first site.
Have a wonderful life Casey and Edward! Thank you for adopting and not shopping! Little Eddie is HOME for the holidays.
Thank you also to Teri for fostering the little guy!
