Finn

Happy Gotcha Day Finn!
Finn recently completed his vetting and was ready for a family of his own. His big brother, Huck was adopted two weeks ago so now it was Finn’s turn!
Little Finn joined his new family last week which included a new doggy brother, Milo.
They have a big fenced yard and he will get to go on vacations with his new family.
Huck and Finn’s pregnant mom had showed up as a stray in a rural area and the family decided to adopt the mom and we were asked to help with the pups.
Thank you Amber and Michelle for fostering these two sweet boys.
Have a wonderful life Finn and family!
Who says you can’t find cute little dogs in rescues and shelters ?

Felix

Several weeks ago, we were contacted after a Good Samaritan found a little dog running in the road, dodging cars. She scooped him up and looked for an owner, but he seemed to be a stray.
Poor fella was covered in big ticks and fleas and was happy to be "saved" from the road.
After the stray hold was up, we offered to help, and we got him to the vet as soon as possible.  He had Lyme disease from the ticks which was treated, we had him neutered and updated all of his vetting. We could tell he had lived outside, but he sure relished in the fact he could sit in laps indoors flea and tick free! Sweet little fella!
We knew Felix wouldn't last long in foster care, even if he liked to poop on the floor lol because he is just too stinking cute!
Felix's new family has a history of owning dogs like Felix, so it was a perfect match.
Congrats Felix and new family! Have a wonderful new life!!

Frank

Mr Frank hit the doggy lotto today!  Woot woot !
Frank is a 10 yr oldish beagle who was found on the streets of Aynor back in March. He was turned into the county shelter and was not claimed. We swooped him up and found out quickly what a little gem we had.
He had a tumor in his ear removed, we treated his ear infections, and updated his vetting including a snip snip.
Sarah and her family had been wanting to adopt a senior and Frank came along at just the right time!
Today Frank joined his new family, which includes two other dogs and the biggest back yard a dog could ask for! Frank was in heaven walking the perimeter and was especially fond of his new dad.
Again, many thanks to Danielle for being Frank’s angel and fostering him. (He wasn’t easy to let go of I know!)
Thank you so much Parker family for giving this senior boy the life he so deserves. From rags to riches Frankie!
Have a wonderful life!
We love you!

Fallon/Scarlett

Last October, in a rural North Carolina kill shelter, a black dog who had recently had puppies came in. Her puppies were not found and she was a hot mess to say the least.
"Fallon" also had many cuts, scrapes, skin issues, and was heartworm positive. Being a black dog, who may look a little "bullyish" and not so esthetically pleasing, caused her to get overlooked.... day after day..
In January the shelter was forced to shut down for some much needed renovations. The shelter, volunteers, and rescue groups worked hard to get the dogs out but Fallon wasn't one of them.
I asked why no one had pulled her,....the response... "black dog syndrome."  Even thought Fallon was a sweet, gentle, happy dog she was overlooked and her time was coming up. She had to leave the shelter or she would be put down. She had patiently been waiting for a rescue to choose her for 3 months.
I asked one of our regular fosters if she would help and she said YES! The next day, Danielle drove to North Carolina to pick up this sweet girl so she could begin her new life!
We treated her heartworms and completed her vetting. Fallon became "Scarlett" and she was a perfect dog from the minute she arrived.
Her awesome foster Mom loved Scarlett and saw the "diamond in the rough" that she was. She advocated for our girl, and told her friends and colleagues about her.
When we had a family apply for Scarlett we were so happy!  The family fell instantly in LOVE with her and last week she joined her forever family!
Scarlett LOVES her human brother and taking walks and rides every day with her family!
We couldn't be happier for Scarlett! We wish everyone could see the beauty in a black shelter dog.
Thank you Saunders family for adopting and not shopping and thank you so much Danielle for being this underdog's angel!
Have a wonderful life Scarlett!!
