Happy Gotcha Day Louie (Vuitton) who has found his forever family! ð
Louie was one of four puppies we rescued from a rural area. We completely vetted them while their foster moms did a great job socializing them and teaching them how to “dog”’ They had been born to a stray mama and had little human interaction before coming to us.
Louie joined his new family and new canine brother Oscar over the weekend and they are so happy to have him!
Thank you Michelle for fostering and new family for adopting!
Have a great life Louie! We love you!
Congratulations to JoJo who has found her forever home with her foster mom!
She fit in perfectly so leaving wasn’t an option!
Jojo was scared and timid when she joined us from a rural shelter but she has made such a transformation into a happy, confident girl. She now has her own toy box full of toys and knows commands and even gives paw.
Thank you Nancy for fostering and adopting and thank you Sara for transporting!
Have a wonderful life Jojo!
Adopt don’t shop!
Happy Adoption Day to our sweet Legend!!
Legend has had quite the journey. He ended up in a kill shelter at the end January. He had skin infections, heartworms, and parasites and was a hot mess! He was sick, broken, and on LAST CALL. We stepped up, got him into a foster home and took him to the vet. Several months later, he was a new dog! Literally! His buddy, Opal was adopted a month ago and Legend waited patiently..... He did have one application but they had cats and he wasn't a fan so that didn't work.
When a previous adopter contacted us about him, we were hopeful. Today Legend's journey came full circle as he is now HOME!
Thank you so much Peggy for giving these once homeless death row dogs a forever home! We are so grateful.
Legend joins our former rescue Dolly and they are already BEST BUDS! woohoo
Thank you Eric for fostering this handsome boy and nursing him to health!
Happy rest of your life Legend! We are so blessed to have been part of your journey! Love you!
We took in a little dog last month after her owner had a stroke and was hospitalized. He could no longer care for the dogs and they were left alone. He asked for help and this nice lady contacted us and we immediately stepped in to help little Ebony!
Ebony is a sweet little older gal who had been neglected and needed her vetting to be updated. Once we did all of that we knew it wouldn't be long before someone swooped her up!
Ebony joined her new family over the weekend. She has a new dad and a dachshund brother named Max.
Thank you Kevin for adopting and not shopping and thank you Teri for fostering! Have a great new life Ebony!!

Back in January our director was contacted about a tiny 5 lb chi who had been injured in a car accident. HIs mom had been drinking and driving and had went to jail; Lil Charlie landed in the county shelter.
They thought someone would come to get him but no one came. Charlie had an ulcerated eye and also needed X-Rays. Rural shelters do not have the means to treat serious injuries like his so little Charlie would be euthanized without a rescue stepping up. He had to have surgery to remove the eye and was in terrible pain. We immediately sent someone to get him and set up a vet appointment the next morning.
Charlie had the eye surgically removed, had X-rays and was neutered the next am. He received basic vet care as well.
We then arranged a permanent foster home where he could heal. His whole world had been turned upside down and he was not happy. Poor guy!
Lil Charlie slowly started feeling better and started to get comfortable. It took him awhile to get used to having the blind spot and he can be a little snippy. He does not like to be picked up either so we had to find a patient family for the little tyke.
The first several applicants passed on Charlie when they learned about his behavior. Miss Monna contacted us and said she was looking for a dog just like Charlie! She had even posted on Craigslist while searching.
Charlie joined his new family last week and he is coming along quite well.! Monna has the patience and understands the special needs of lil Charlie. We are so thankful!
Charlie, you will never be abandoned or hurt again! Thank you Amber and Oakland for fostering and transporting. Thank you Monna for being patient and adopting and not shopping!!
Happy Life together!
