Pearl

Congrats to Pearlie girl who has found her happily ever after!
Pearl has a sort of rags to riches story. You see, a few months ago she had an owner but he had a stroke and went into the hospital. Pearl and a few other dogs were left outside for weeks and occasionally got fed. She was malnourished and looked like hell to say the least! When the owner came home from the hospital he contacted someone about relinquishing the dogs as he could no longer care for them. We graciously stepped up for Pearl and her sister Ebony. (who was adopted recently).
We immediately got them to the vet for the care they desperately needed and they started getting lots of nutritious meals as well. A month later Pearl looked like a different dog!!
Today Pearl starts the next chapter of her life. She will never be alone, cold or hungry again. This is why Rescue matters!!
Thank you Oakland, Liz, and Teri for all your help fostering and transporting.
Thank you Debbie for adopting and not shopping!!
Have a great new life Pearl!

Pumpkin

Pumpkin's Christmas wish has come true!! He has a home for the Holiday! Yay!
We took in Pumpkin at the first of November when he was a little lone stray kitten running down by the boulevard in Myrtle Beach. We don't know if someone let him out or what. He was terrified, obviously, and scared of people. It took a minute to catch him but we immediately stepped up for him and found a foster home. (thank you Mackenzie!)
The little guy completed all of his vetting recently and it took him a little while to trust people but he finally came out of his shell and was ready for a HOME.
Today he joined his new mom and dad, and new brother, Oscar who is also an orange kitty! (Notice the pillow that says, Pumpkin- it was meant to me! ) Thank you Jon and family!!
Have a great life Pumpkin!

Phoebe

Back in June we were contacted about a small Pittie girl who was seen falling off the back of a truck in the outskirts of Horry Co. Luckily, some nice people watched this happen and followed the dog and was able to help her! Thank god she was not seriously injured!
They took her home and searched for an owner but no one came forward-which was probably best since you could see every rib in her body, she had been a mom nor long before and not to mention being forced to ride on the back of a truck.
Phoebe's "owner" was never found so she joined PLP and settled into one of our regular foster's homes.  Thank you Teri!!
Of course our sweet girl was heartworm positive and needed complete vetting so we took care of that.
When we got an application wanting a sweet bully breed who liked children we knew she was perfect.
Phoebe will never live outside, alone and scared again. She will never be forced to have puppies and she will have a warm bed and daily food.
Thank you Grace family for not only wanting to adopt but for wanting to adopt a sweet bully and give her a chance to be part of your family! The stigma some people have for these sweet dogs can really hinder their ability to be adopted.  As you can see she LOVES her new boy.
Thank you Debi for fostering this sweet girl during the last few weeks. Thank you Scott family also!
Have a wonderful life sweet girl! Never look back!
Adopt: don't shop!

Pip

Congrats to our little Pip who is HOME!
We had so many applications for the little guy but we just knew THIS was the perfect match!
You see, Jordan had been searching for a GSP pup for some time. He had been dog sitting a neighbors German shorthaired pointer and fell in love with the breed. It was a perfect dog for him and his very active lifestyle!
"German Shorthair Pointers are built to work long days in the field, or at the lake. They are known for power, speed, agility, and endurance. They are always up for physical activities like running, swimming and organized dog sports"  - This fit what Jordan would give Pip and we couldn't be more thrilled.
Pip arrived at his new home in Charlotte on Friday. He spent the day yesterday on Lake Norman and loved every second on the water. He has been exploring his huge, shady back yard and getting lots of love, exercise and nurturing. His dad says he slept thru the nights and is the perfect companion!
We at PLP truly try to make an effort to match each dog with the perfect home for THEM. 🙂
Pip came to us in June after a rescue friend contacted us. He was living in a pen in Conway. His siblings had been given away first come first serve and his mom had died. We sprung into action to give this guy the life he so deserved.
Thank you Lindsey, Sonya, Maxi, Amy, and Carole for all your help with this guy! It takes a village!
Thank you Jordan for being patient in your search for the perfect companion! We KNOW Pip is going to have the best life imaginable! You ROCK!
Happy life together Jordan and Pip!

Paddy

Congrats to Paddy who has found his forever home!
Paddy came to us last month when one of our foster mom’s neighbors was talking about taking sweet Paddy to the shelter for peeing in the house!
When she called I said, “go get him”! .. and she did! We found a foster home, (thank you Cheryl!), updated his vetting, did bloodwork, and treated his double ear infections. He was cleared by the vet this week and basically went straight to his new home.
Miss Leslie had recently lost her 17 year old Westie and when she heard we had one she contacted us. The rest is history.
Happy ever after to Leslie and Paddy! Thank you Carole and Teri for transporting this handsome fella also.
Have a wonderful life together Leslie and Paddy!
