Midnight

Happy Gotcha Day to our beautiful Midnight! He is the second one of our Halloween litter to find his own family.
Black animals tend to overlooked so we were very grateful to find a family for this handsome boy!
Things could have been much different for midnight and his family as they were found in a ditch in Loris after Hurricane Ian. We stepped up and they immediately were brought indoors and to the vet.
Have a long, happy life sweet boy.
Thank you foster family and new family!

Eli

Congrats to Eli for finding his happily ever after! (Finally) 👏👏
Eli came to us after he was found during a Hurricane, wet, cold and covered in fleas with an obvious eye injury that had been left untreated. He was taken to the shelter and his "owners" never came for him. (lucky for Eli)
We sprung the little hot mess after his stray hold was up and got him all fixed up. He ended up having four surgeries in one day and his bad eye removed. He became a little protective of his foster mom and maybe had a time without his eye. He could be snippy and could bite if snuck up on or in his space.
He was adopted but returned after only a few days. We knew it would take longer for him to settle into a new home and made all potential adopters aware.
Eli went to a new home a few weeks ago and we now know he is HOME for good! His new parents have given him all the patience, space and time he needs to feel safe.
Congrats Eli and new family!! You are angels!
Thank you Renee for being such a patient foster mama!!
Have a great life little snapdragon!
Don't come back now, you hear? lol

Boo Boo

Happy Gotcha Day Boo-boo kitty!
The first of our Halloween kitties to be adopted and it was love at first sight. 👏
Thank you new family for adopting!
Thank you Joanne for fostering Boo-boo. ❤ï¸Â

Sweetheart

Back in February, we took in a shelter dog who was a staff favorite. She had skin issues that needed to be addressed so she needed to get out of the crowded shelter. Her name was Sweetheart. Sweetheart went into a foster home, and we nursed her back to health. She was such a sweet, happy girl, but was just too active for certain people. We received several applications, but none were a good fit or just didn't pan out.
It has been a bad time for shelter and rescue dogs with so many being relinquished.
We were planning on boarding Sweetheart again for the holidays while her foster parents traveled when we received a request.... A request from Sweetheart's foster parents for the adoption application!
Sweetheart has been HOME the entire time. Her Christmas wish has been fulfilled. Her foster parents are giving her the bestest gift.
Thank you, John and Crystal, for being the best foster parents for the last ten months we could have asked for. You have totally set her up for success, working with her, and giving her the training and exercise she needs to be the best version of herself!
Merry Christmas Sweetheart!!
Home for the Holidays never sounded better!

Norma Jean

Back in March of 2020 we rescued a husky from the county shelter. She had been living outside, had heartworms and multiple other health issues.  We treated all of her ailments and heartworms, she settled in and was adopted. We always ask adopters to give us periodic updates but never heard much, even though we did ask.
In September, the county shelter called saying Norma Jean was back and was 20lbs underweight. We sprang into action to find a foster home and pulled her the next day. We started feeding her small frequent meals to avoid refeeding syndrome. It was a slow process, but two months later, she had gained her weight back and had no long-term effects from the starvation, luckily. 🙏🏻
Fast forward to now, Norma Jean has found her happily ever after and will never want for anything ever again. She joined her new mom, Lisa and her new sibling Zorro recently. They had lost their older dog in November and was ready to add to their family. Norma fit right in and has been enjoying the comforts of her new home.
We couldn't be happier for this sweet senior who deserves to be treated like the queen she is.
Happy Life Norma! Thank you, Amanda, for being an awesome foster mom and nursing her back to health. Thank you, Lisa, for adopting and not shopping!
Never look back Norma Jean!
