Happy Gotcha Day to our beautiful Midnight! He is the second one of our Halloween litter to find his own family. 
Black animals tend to overlooked so we were very grateful to find a family for this handsome boy!
Things could have been much different for midnight and his family as they were found in a ditch in Loris after Hurricane Ian. We stepped up and they immediately were brought indoors and to the vet. 
Have a long, happy life sweet boy.

Congratulations to Maddox, who found his forever home today! 
Maddox joined Plp a few months ago when a friend of our director asked her if plp could help this pup. He had been given away free as a pup, had zero vetting and the new “owner” didn’t  believe in vaccinating him either . On top of that, he was not allowed to have pets and the landlord said Maddox had to go. They thought they could drop him at a shelter but all of our local shelters are full so we offered to help. We found a great foster home and Maddox received all of his vetting . 
His new Mom Pattie was looking for a new dog and happened to be friends with someone who follows our page. She lives in Tampa but had plans to visit. She applied last week and was approved , flew in this week and met him today! They love each other already!  Pattie will be renting a car to take our sweet boy back to florida to his new home. We are so happy!

Congrats to Mikey who has finally found his forever family!
Mikey came to Plp back in mid May with his three siblings. A Good Samaritan in a rural area had contacted me asking for help and was desperate to find them a safe haven. Their mom was a neighbors dog who had been abandoned and people took turns feeding her. ( mom was spayed and adopted soon after we took in these pups!) 
All of Mikey’s siblings were adopted in July and august and he waited patiently. 
He finally found the happily ever after he so deserved this week and we are over the moon!

Congrats to miss Maumas who has found her people! 
Maumas came to us awhile back when her owner contacted us to surrender her. She said she was getting a divorce and could no longer take care of her. Maumas joined us and we found out she was in heat and also was a snippy girl so would need a special home. Since there had been a male dog in the home we couldn't help but wonder if she needed her to go before she ended up expecting. Luckily that didn't happen and we got this little breed of sheep dog all fixed up and ready for a home. It took a bit to find the right placement but we found the perfect place and she is HOME. She even loves her new doggy sibling. 
Thank you to her new family for giving her the time and patience to settle in. (See there is a reason no one is holding little Miss Maumas in her pictures lol) Thank you Kim for fostering and taking her to meets.

Happy Gotcha Day again for sweet Mia!
This little lady has had quite the adventure! She was found as a stray and ended up at the county shelter. She couldn’t be placed in the adoption center because she was so scared she wanted to bite everyone. We pulled her and her her foster family wanted her gone in the first day. She went to the second foster home, was adopted and then returned several months later. 
Mia has come so far! She and her new mom are two peas in a pod and spend their days together taking lots of walks and visiting the neighbors. 
It just took her a little while to find her place in the world!
