Bentley

Congratulations to Bentley who found his forever home last week!
Bentley and his brother River came to us in August. River was adopted and sweet Bentley was waiting his turn.
When our director met Dr Jan he mentioned he was looking to adopt a large breed puppy.  He applied the same day Benny was available and the rest is history.
Benny now has 3 kids and a female labradoodle to have lots of adventures with!
We know you are going to have a wonderful life Ben! Thank you Jan family for adopting and not shopping!
Thank you Renee for fostering and Kimberly for helping to get these boys to us.
Happy life Bentley!!

Baby Girl

Congrats Baby Girl who has found her forever family!!
Baby girl came to us last month when her time was up at the county shelter.
She was rescue only because she was heartworm positive. We treated her heart worms and completed her vetting. She spent a week with a temp foster family while her foster dad was out of town and they fell in love with her!
Yesterday Baby girl completed her journey and is now HOME!
Thank you Marc for stepping up at the last minute to foster and thank you Horrocks family for fostering and adopting!
Have a great life Baby Girl!
Never look back!

Buster Brown

Happy Gotcha Day Buster Brown!
Buster came to us in July after we were informed of a puppy tied to a tree in a bad neighborhood. The owner couldn't care for him so we was free for the taking. We sprang into action to find a foster home for this precious boy and he joined PLP!
Buster needed to stay in his foster home for at least one month while completing his vetting and his foster mom's boyfriend, Bo fell in love with Buster while he was there spending time with him. After Buster had a couple of meets that didn't work out Bo decided he really loved Buster and wanted to adopt him.
Everything was finalized yesterday and now Buster gets to basically stay where he is and spend lots of time running and playing with his foster siblings and foster mom too.
Thank you Cyndee for fostering sweet Buster!
Have a wonderful life Buster, Bo and foster family. :

Bo

Congratulations to Bo who has found his forever home!!
Bo came to us last month when his time was up at the county shelter. He was "last call" and we were scrambling to find a foster home for him.  We thought we found one who blindsided us by saying, "oh i can't get him until next week when my fence is complete." I was stunned to say the least. Luckily two others offered but one had a cat so we had to get a cat test for Bo asap! We informed the shelter and Bo's test revealed he loved the felines! Whew! Thank you Laurie for stepping up to foster at the last minute!
Bo was very scared, shy and quiet. He had scars on his face . We didn't know much about his past but we were determined to rewrite his future.
Bo had to be carried into his foster home, he was so scared and defeated.
Luckily, he started realizing he was safe. We treated his heartworms and neutered him and he spent a month settling into a home environment and learning that people can be good. He loved his foster brother and the cats too and learned about leash walking. Bo slowly turned into a happy, healthy boy! Look at his transformation!
When Ashley applied to adopt another dog she didn't feel a connection but told us she wanted a calm dog to love in honor of her son.  We suggested Bo and the rest is history!
Bo settled into his new home this weekend and we couldn't be happier! He deserves the best and our job is complete.
Thank you Amy, Meg, and Kimberly for your help in Bo's journey. Laurie, thank you so much for opening your home and heart to a shelter dog in need! Fostering helps to save lives!
Congrats Bo and Gibbs family! We wish you a lifetime of happiness and can't wait to see what the future hold for you! Never look back sweet fella, never look back.

Bayou

Back in June we were contacted about a German shepherd who needed a rescue. He had been found in a ditch as a puppy and the good Samaritan who took him in had taken him to the vet and found him a home. Unfortunately, a year or so later the “owner" decided she didn't have the time to give him what he needed and returned him to the finder.
We were asked to help and Bayou joined PLP.   Bayou was underweight and needed to see a vet but was soon healthy and happy in his foster home.
We had so many applications for this sweet boy but finding the exact fit for him seemed to be a challenge.
Today everything fell into place and Bayou joined his new family in Florence, complete with a female Shepherd for a companion.
Bayou fit right in with his new family and we couldn't be happier for him!
Thank you Dana for adopting a rescue and adding this sweet boy to your family!
Thank you Desiree for your dedication to Bayou throughout his life and fostering him, and thank you Tara for taking him to his meet.
"The German Shepherd is a reserved dog; they don't make friends immediately; but once they do they are extremely loyal."
Have a wonderful live Bayou and Dana! We are so happy you found each other!!
Adopt; don't shop!
